Eleven
The name of the story we are reading in our class is called “Eleven” by Sandra Cisneros. The story is about a girl named Rachel whose birthday is ruined by her stubborn teacher named Mrs. Price. Mrs. Price finds a old sweater and assumes its Rachel’s when its not hers and embarrasses her. Rachel is a credible character because any child would cry and be embarrasses if their teacher made them wear an old and smelly sweater.
Rachel is a credible character because any kid would cry if the teacher hurt their feelings. “But it’s not…” This quotation shows the reader that Rachel is hurt and shows that the sweater is not hers.
Rachel is a credible character because she denies that the sweater is not hers. “That’s not, I don’t, you’re not… not mine,” This quotation from the story shows the reader that she is confused and is so amazed that the teacher thinks that the sweater belongs to her.
Rachel wanted to say something but she was too shy. I can understand that Rachel was scared to stand up for herself because Mrs. Price put her in a position that was very tough to get out of.
Rachel is a credible character because any child would do that If they had to do something they did not want to do for a perfect reason the sweater was not hers. I am totally convinced that Rachel is a credible character.

In the story “Becky and the Wheels-and-Brake Boys written by James Berry a girl named Becky wants a bike but her mother disagrees with the idea. Becky is a credible character because of how she acts, how she feels, and what she says. First of all, Becky is a credible character because she begs her mother for what she wants, a bike like any other child would do. As Becky says, “Over and over I told my mom I wanted a bike.” She really wants a bike more than anything, so she pleads to her mom. This proves that Becky is a realistic character because a lot of kids bug their parents for what they want. Secondly, Becky is a believable character because she fought with her friend and got angry with her. As Becky thinks, “For the first time, Shirnette and me had a real fight, because of what I hated most.” Becky was mad at her best friend because Shirnette let her cockroach fly in Becky’s blouse. This quotation shows how Becky is a credible because friends frequently fight with each other. In addition, Becky is a realistic character because she asks for help with a new skill. Becky asks to the wheels-and-brake boys, “Can somebody teach me to ride.” She wants to be a part of the group, so she asks them to teach her a new skill. Becky doesn’t have a bike because in her country girls are not that encouraged to ride them. She wants to be a part of the group, so she asks the boys to teach her a new skill. Becky stands up for what she wants just like any other kid. In conclusion, Becky’ actions, her emotions, and her words that proves she is credible character. You may even know somebody like Becky that is in your neighborhood. Or, it could even be you.
